NATIONAL PARK OF ABRUZZO !!!


Abruzzo, Lazio e Molise National park represents one of the rare West European areas where, in the wide forests that covers the mountains or on the rocky planes landscapes prairies it is still possible to run into some wild animals like the Marsican bears, the Apennine chamois, the wolf, the lynx, the golden eagle. Many other species of mammalians, birds, reptiles, amphibians and fishes are as well rare species still living in this region.

Very important is the park vegetation too, with more 2000 species with absolute rareness like the Marsica Iris and the lady slipper, which finds their refuge in the park glades and gorges.

The success of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park lies on having managed to conjugate the environment preservation and the social economical improvement of local communities. The several visit centres, the fauna areas , the path network and the other tourist facilities for the fruition of the park have allowed a revitalization of small centres of big value.
